OK, everyone. We need a new blog. Let's face it: this one stinks out loud. First, there's the Kerry ad on the top. Check out his website if you want. You still won't be convinced. Second, well, it is just not pretty. Is there a blogger or IT guy in the house?

For all of the folks who helped make that such a great Meetup, thanks.
We're going to have a soundsystem for our next meeting, courtesy of someone who works with someone who I will plug if he sends me an e-mail giving us permission and a url. We won't have to rely on a Mr. Microphone, after all. Further, our Fearless Leader will be back and rested and may or may not be tan. For the folks who went to Spiritfest and handed out flyers, thank you. I'll wager that the reaction was similar to: "oh, my God. I've heard of that guy... who is he?". That kind of feedback points people to the website and furthers our support.
There are still Iowans to adopt. I wrote my letters last night. If you want any more, please send me an e-mail at deaninkc@msn.com and we will get in touch with you.
Finally, a modest proposal: if you see anyone with a Dean banner or a Dean poster or a Dean pamphlet, get him or her some water. It is extraordinarily hot and we need to keep everyone healthy.

Hi, folks: We wish we can say that launching this blog on the 4th of July was intentional and clever. It wasn't. But... we can be a part of this country if we want, participate in it if we want, as well as run it collectively. That's why Howard Dean is going to win the nomination and the election and that's why it is probably appropriate the first post is on July 4th. More later.
